Rules

There are some rules when using this site, please adher to them.

Intellectual Property

All photographs, except when explicitly noted so, displayed here are taken by me or one of the co-authors of the site. In every article you can se the name of the person authoring the article and if you wish to use the material, text or photographs or other graphics then you MUST obtain a written permission to do so.

Normally we are quite happy if you wish to use pictures from the site and we may allow you to do so for non-commercial and some times editorial purposes for free or for a modest fee. Examples are people who have used pictures for a calendar where the fee was one copy of the calendar. We are not out to make money from this site, but even so you must ASK the permission of the copyright holder for each element on the site you wish to use.

Comment rules

When commenting on any of the articles here there are a few rules that we would like you to adhere to. They are similar to the rules of many other sites and they are quite simple really.

  1. You must provide a working email address. You can have a phony name and link to any webpage you like but your email should work and be read by you. We may have to contact you about your comment or to solve some misunderstanding. Capisce?
  2. If you criticise keep it constructive. We like to correct errors in editorial material, but you should try to keep it civil and constructuve. Just flaming will not work, such comments will be removed.
  3. You are welcome to contribute information. If you have more information about a subject the comment place is a great place to put it. This is welcomed.
  4. Intolerance are frowned upon. This includes and are not limited to slandering peoples heritage, religion, ethnic background or similar. Any such comments will be removed immediately.
  5. Your first comment may not show up immediately. This is because we evaluate first time posters before their comments are displayed to everyone on the site. This does NOT mean you have to re-submit your comment.
  6. Spamming is not tolerated. You may post article related links, but keep it simple, just dumping twenty links taken from google is not very informative or helpful. Tell us how you found the links instead.

Site linking

We are not affiliated with any site link programme on the net and do not wish to be afiliated with such programme either. If we like your site we may link to it. You may ask us (politely) to link to your site if you like and we will consider it.

Feel free to link back to this site or specific articles on the site. However if you use a photograph you must always ASK the author of the article by email or make sure you link back using the proper protocols. We will be hapy to provide you with the proper HTML code to link to our pictures if you ask.

Most pictures are hosted on Flickr PRO accounts, this means there are guidelines to how the pictures can be displayed on third party web sites.

Contributions

If you wish to contribute contact ichi@ichimusai.org and we can discuss it! Anything from describing how to take a certain type of picture or long articles about anythin photography related is quite welcome. We can after we get to know you a little give you access to the site. Articles can be written directly on the site or you may send them to us in a text format.

Contact me for more information if you have something to contribute. Generally we’d be happy to host your article here and give you the credit for it!
