Training wk 41

Posted by: Ichimusai in English

So two runs this week. Starting to get back into the habit is hard however. I really miss the shape I was in a month ago but I will get there soon!

Did two runs this week, both of them were horrible, the first was a 4 km run at an extremely low pace, 9:15 min/km and today I did another one at 8:40 min/km but that was only a 3 km run. My body really did not want to run today so it was all in my mind really. I had set out to do 4 km today as well but my body refused to do more than 2. So we reached a kind of compromise on 3 km. Not that good really but I think it is going the right way slowly. Next week it will start feel better I’m sure.

Glad to hear you’re beginning to get back into it, won’t take you long to get back to form.

As for me – as you may have gathered from my FB comments, I have failed to go running for quite some time now- the local options just don’t give me any motivation because I don’t enjoy them…however…I’m thinking of going exploring a bit further afield to find some nice longer routes to do on my non-climbing days. With winter approaching I need to get my CV fitness ramped up before I start heading for the snow in the mountains!

Oh, and I’ve just read your 101 things in 1001 days project thing and feel massively inspired to create something similar for myself – documenting goals can be a great way of generating the motivation needed to get out there and start doing them! (By the way, how come there are only 70 things on that list? Thought there were going to be 101…)
